Maggie Langhorne

“A simply divine singer and actress who never fails to stun,” (Cape Cod Times), the “ever-versatile” (Operetta Research Center) Maggie Langhorne is a true crossover artist whose experience ranges from comic operetta to Shakespeare. Maggie's favorite recent credits include Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls with Ohio Light Opera, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with Blue Hill Troupe, and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing with Scenic City Shakespeare. Originally from Santa Barbara, CA, Maggie went on to receive her BM from Oberlin Conservatory and worked with The College Light Opera Company throughout her collegiate years. Currently, Maggie is an Artistic Associate and Educational Artist with Royal Family Productions. This past summer she returned to the Ohio Light Opera as a Resident Artist and Assistant Director.

When not performing, Maggie loves teaching and collaborating with other actors and singers! Her work as an intimacy coordinator, director, and vocal coach have become some of her most treasured projects. Favorite pastimes beyond the stage include overanalyzing media, petting all the dogs, cooking up new recipes, and spending time with her wonderful husband Mark and their little black cat, Kiki.

Maggie just wrapped up another spectacular season with Ohio Light Opera! You may have seen her as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Gloria Thorpe in Damn Yankees, or The Courtesan in Boys from Syracuse.

Coming up, Maggie will be headed to Maine with Royal Family Productions to perform Upta Camp: The Official Musical of Maine! August 29th - 30th
